Sun Country Health Region is pleased to announce a period of extended hours at the Carlyle Primary Health Care Clinic this summer.

The expanded clinic hours will be held from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on the first and third Thursday of each month, beginning May 15 and extending to the end of August.

Clinic hours on all other week days will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. as usual.

"We look forward to this opportunity to provide extended access to patients," said Wanda Miller, Regional Director for Primary Health Care. "We believe it will be of value to those patients who work regular hours and find it hard to access health services during regular business hours. They will have the option twice a month to book an evening appointment."

"The extended hours will be available during the summer as a trial run. We will evaluate the service at the end of that time to determine if it fills a community need," she said.

Sun Country Health Region has focused on the expansion of primary health care clinics in its communities over the past four years to increase public access to basic services delivered by a team of health care professionals.
