The Family Place Festival of Trees was held November 22 at Barber Motors, during which City Councillor Winston Bailey conducted a live auction of the donated Christmas trees. The trees that sold for the highest bids were "Birdsong" by Prairie Animal Health Centre, which was purchased by Southern Range for $4,000, and "Home" by Re/Max Weyburn Realty, which was purchased by MNP also for $4,000. The live auction brought in $45,000, and the silent auction items and raffles raised another $15,000, for a grand total of $60,000, the most the fundraiser has ever raised for the Family Place.
