The Family Place will have their 13th annual Festival of Trees held in November. Business groups, organizations and community groups are encouraged to donate a tree, or a silent auction item to the event.
There is a new location for the Festival of Trees, as the display and gala evening will be at the Barber Motors showroom.
Christmas tree set-up will take place on Tuesday to Thursday, Nov. 13 to 15, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Barber Motors showroom. All trees and silent auction items should be preregistered with the Family Place before these dates.
The display of the trees and silent auction items will be held from Friday, Nov. 16 to Wednesday, Nov. 21 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Thursday, Nov. 22 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Residents are encouraged to view the silent auction items, and vote for their favourite tree.
Santa will arrive on Tuesday, Nov. 20 from 12 noon to 5:30 p.m. at the Festival of Trees location for photo opportunities.
The Festival of Trees celebration and tree auction will be start at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 22. There will be live and silent auction of the trees. All silent auction items will be finalized for sale that evening.
Anyone wishing to volunteer as a host or hostess during viewing hours can contact the Family Place before Friday, Nov. 22.
