There are 87 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on Nov. 6, bringing the provincial total to date to 3,623.
Five of the new cases are in the southeast region. One of the cases is in Southeast Zone 4, which includes Estevan. The other four cases are in Zone 1, which is the northwest corner of the southeast region.
One person in the southeast has recovered from COVID-19; that recovery was in Zone 4.
There are currently 29 active cases of COVID-19 in the southeast, including 18 in Zone 4.
Sixty-five people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the southeast since mid-March.
Twenty-five of the new cases are in the Saskatoon region, 20 are in the Regina region, 11 are in the central east, eight are in each of the far northwest and the northwest, three are in the north central, two are in the south central, and individual cases are in the far northeast and southwest.
Five cases with pending residence location from Nov. 4 were assigned to the north central zone.
The Roy Romanow Provincial Laboratory experienced technical difficulties Nov. 3 with the validation of COVID-19 tests, resulting in nine confirmed cases included in today’s case total.
Of the 3,623 reported cases, 911, or 25.1 per cent, are considered active.
Fifty-three more people have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 2,687, or about 74.2 per cent.
Thirty-three people are in hospital. Twenty-nine people are receiving inpatient care: one in the far northwest, three in northwest, eight in the north central, 10 in Saskatoon and seven in the Regina zones. Four people are in intensive care: one in north central, two in Saskatoon and one in Regina.
Twenty-five people have died from COVID-19 in Saskatchewan to date.
There were 2,217 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan on Thursday. ≈
