Every year, a huge Garage Sale fills the Curling Rink to help raise funds for the Family Place of Weyburn. The event is very important to support the programs and services provided by the Family Place.
This year’s Garage Sale will be held at the Weyburn Curling Rink on Tuesday, April 12 from 5 to 8 p.m., and Wednesday, April 13 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
There will be a canteen open during the Tuesday hours of the Garage Sale.
Anyone who wants to donate a gently-used item to the Garage Sale can drop off their items at the Weyburn Curling Rink on Sunday to Tuesday, April 10 to 12. The hours that drop-offs will be accepted is noon to 4 p.m. on April 10; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on April 11; and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 12.
They will only accept flat-screen TVs as donation, and will turn away any tube TVs. They will not accept child car seats, or any clothing donation.
It is important to remember to donate gently-used items, that other people would be interested in purchasing. Items should be in good enough condition to be used by other residents.
