Caitlin Dempsey, a 1996 third year forward for the Weyburn Southern Range Gold Wings, is the month's First Star. Dempsey recorded four goals and four assists for the month. Her offensive contributions were vital in helping the Gold Wings secure the wins needed to capture second place. Dempsey finished the season as Weyburn's top point getter with 29 points on 12 goals and 17 assists. She also cracked the top 10 in league scoring placing 7th overall. Caitlin's experience has resulted in her contributing in all situations for the Weyburn squad. She will be counted on to lead the Gold Wings in the post season push to the league championship.
