Parent and community members are needed for our School Community Council. Our next School Community Council meeting will be held Wednesday, October 17, 2004. The meeting will begin at 7:00 P.M. At this meeting we will be looking for parents or community members to become part of the council. Council members will be meeting eight more times this year for approximately 1.5 hours each meeting. Your involvement in our school is a critical part of how we involve our community in the planning that is so necessary for our school success. As a member, your feedback is very essential in terms of our programming at this school. As well, we will be needing community members' advice as we move forward in the construction of a K - 12 school in Carlyle. The architectural design process has started and we will need community members to participate. Please plan to be here October 17; your help is needed.

Student Leadership Team Report: Last week at the SLT meeting we discussed what kind of clothing we want to order. We talked about the magazine campaign as well. Today at the SLT meeting we planned a pep rally, which will take place Oct. 2. We will also be kicking off the Magazine Campaign. We have a meeting planned for Wednesday at noon to discuss the clothing issue further.
