Tad Milmine, a Calgary police officer (left), spoke about bullying to students from Grades 6-9 in a presentation called, “Bullying Ends Here”, on Friday morning at the Cugnet Centre. He later spoke to the Grades 10-11 students, with the sessions live-streamed to other schools in the Southeast Cornerstone School Division. He visited Estevan earlier in the week to give the same presentation. He was brought to the area in a joint effort by the Weyburn and Estevan Police Services, as they worked with the Cornerstone and Holy Family School Divisions to address the issue of bullying in local schools. School administrators will be following up on the presentations along with the police departments to ensure that students get any help or support they need. For the full report on his presentation, please check out the Weyburn Review on Wednesday, March 14.
