The heat warning for Estevan is over.

Environment Canada lifted the warning at 2:16 a.m. Friday. The warning had been in effect since 10:29 a.m. on Tuesday, due to the high temperatures and overnight lows.

Estevan appears to have set two heat records this week. The first was on Wednesday, when the high was 37.4 C, breaking the previous record of 35.8 C.

Then on Thursday, the daytime high was 34.2 C, just above the previous record of 34.

The lows, meantime, were often in the high teens this week.

While the heat warning is over, the high temperatures remain. Friday is expected to have a daytime high of 30 C, and Saturday is forecasted to be at 31 C, before dropping to 26 C on Sunday.
