The St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation has announced the winner of a key fundraiser in this year’s revamped Festival of Trees.

Glenda Walter’s name was drawn Wednesday afternoon in the Ultimate 50-50. She won $10,245 through the draw, and the remaining $10,245 will be directed towards the foundation’s efforts.

Ticket sales ended Wednesday at noon and the winner was drawn a short time later.

An online silent auction is ongoing. It will end Friday, and it features a wide variety of items, including several Christmas trees.

Also part of this year’s Festival of Trees are holiday coffee breaks, which offers your chance to treat your office or small group of friends to a tray of decadent treats and a hot chocolate charcuterie board.

And the Kid's Zone, presented by Estevan Mercury Publications, was a big hit. It offered something for the little ones to enjoy this Christmas season. Featuring Night Before Christmas Kits and Santa's Workshop Kits, families were kept busy as Christmas approaches.

Prizes were offered for those who purchased a kit.

This year’s Festival of Trees was named There’s No Place Like Home Edition, and the activities are focused on things that people can do at home, and the importance of healthcare in the community.

Proceeds from the Festival of Trees will be directed towards the efforts of the foundation.
