The Weyburn Humane Society will be taking part in the province-wide “Empty Our Shelters” campaign to encourage people to adopt cats and kittens from local animal shelters.
The adopt-a-thon will be held from Friday, Aug. 19 through to Sunday, Aug. 22 for animal shelters around Saskatchewan.
The goal is to make homelessness disappear for shelter pets, including from the Weyburn Humane Society.
Intact cats and kittens are available for $50 each from the Humane Society, which includes a free check by the veterinarian and a microchip at the Prairie Animal Health Centre in Weyburn.
With this offer, there will be no reimbursement for spaying or neutering.
All cats and kittens up for adoption are up-to-date on vaccinations.
To adopt a cat or kitten, contact the Weyburn Humane Society at 306-848-7387.
