Lake Alma (cpd) - Hjordis and Gordon Olson and Rodney spent the Christmas holidays in Saskatoon with Connie and Dave Holmes and family. Joining them was Donna and Mark Zacharias and girls of Carrot River and Lauren of Lethbridge, Alta.
Lake Alma (cpd) - Hjordis and Gordon Olson and Rodney spent the Christmas holidays in Saskatoon with Connie and Dave Holmes and family. Joining them was Donna and Mark Zacharias and girls of Carrot River and Lauren of Lethbridge, Alta. Hjordis, Gordon and Rodney spent time in Lethbridge with Lauren before going on to Calgary where they visited with Reidun and John Froese. On the 29th they met a cousin of Hjordis's from Trondheim, Norway, Ronn HagHarto, and her daughter Ranveig of Huston, Texas. The ladies had flown to Calgary to celebrate Ronn's 80th Birthday and visit with their cousins. They enjoyed dinner at the "Tower" for a celebration.The Olson's returned home to Beaubier on Dec. 31. A community potluck supper was held at the Beaubier Community Centre on Dec. 9 as a fundraiser for Allan Buckner who at that time was in Saskatoon undergoing surgery and treatment for cancer. A good crowd was in attendance and a great variety of food was enjoyed by all in attendance.
Clare and Ida Offet of Weyburn traveled to Regina on Dec. 31 where they spent the evening with Marie and Don Jacobson enjoying a traditional lutefish supper and seeing the New Year in.
On New Year's Day they were dinner guests of Suzanne and Rick Brown, Rachel and Jessica, and Darcie and Carson Bell. Joining them also were Pam and Barry Brown of Gainsborough and Kelly Francis of Regina. The Brown's and Offet's met Craig and Charmaine Offet, Marie Jacobson, and Delores and Duane Larsen of Weyburn for breakfast on Jan. 2 before the Barry Browns and Clare Offets headed for their respective homes. Tom and Linda Clausen of Beaubier and Chris Clausen of Cupar spent Dec. 24 with Glen and Jolene Greaves and Nate. Joining them were Sandra Woitas of Mainprize Park, Charles and Denise Olsen, Amanda and Ryan and Ken and Marilyn Clausen and Matt of Estevan asnd James and Kendra Colbow, Ashlynn, Elise, J'Anne and Dallan of North Weyburn.
Christmas Day guests with Tom and Linda Clausen were their son Chris of Cupar, Trudy Koszman of Weyburn, Kim Koszman from Winnipeg and Mark Koszman from Brandon, Dan and Natalie Styles from Saskatoon. Trudy and family staryed overnight and they all spent Boxing Day with Lorne and Kathy Petersen and Jess at Estevan. Also there were Brian and Morgan Petersen and daughter Summer and Chelsea Semeniuk of Estevan.
Vernon and Sharon Solie had Clare and Ida Offet of Weyburn visit them on the afternoon of Jan. 4. They celebrated Sharon's birthday which was on Dec. 31. They were amazed to see that there was absolutely no snow there except for small amounts in the ditches.
