Weyburn police and the Weyburn Fire Department responded to a house fire on Prairie Avenue around 2 a.m. late Saturday night.
Fire fighters arrived to find the front porch of the house engulfed in flames, and it spread to a pickup truck parked nearby in the driveway.
One person was in the house at the time, and was safely evacuated.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze in the porch and then in and around the truck, and later worked to get the fire out in the attic and eavestrough of the house.
Deputy chief Denis Poulin said at the scene the cause of the fire was not known at the time and is under investigation. Damages were extensive to the house and the truck.
