What is the problem with people these days; doesn't anyone of all these agencies that are supposed to service the public have any teeth anymore?
My neighbour is a master of working the system and where the cracks are in the system for her to hide in. This person has had her house condemned a number of times, and every time the city or other agencies have just cleaned it out for her.
She has been taken to court many times in violation of the animal abuse act, and had all the stray cats taken away from her by the SPCA too many times to count.
My neighbour openly admits to feeding the coyote that shows up anywhere between 11 p.m. and 3 a.m.
I know this because I step outside to have a cigarette. Now the treats that she leaves for the coyote has attracted a skunk, which I saw two nights ago walk right into her yard.
My wife has phoned the police about it and they pass the buck on to the pest control officer who never seems to answer the phone.
Does my nine-year-old son or some other kid have to be attacked by a rabid skunk or coyote before anybody else does anything?
For anyone who's thinking of moving to Weyburn, don't, unless you want to live with people who feed dangerous animals around you and your family, and also have officials who just want to sit on their hands because it's an election year.
If the city officials continue to sit on their hands and do nothing, do you want them for another term?
