NDP announces candidates for Estevan and Cannington in the next provincial election

The Saskatchewan NDP has announced their final 12 candidates for the upcoming provincial election, including the candidates for the Estevan and Cannington constituencies. In Estevan, Seth Lendrum will be the NDP’s candidate.

The Saskatchewan NDP has announced their final 12 candidates for the upcoming provincial election, including the candidates for the Estevan and Cannington constituencies.

In Estevan, Seth Lendrum will be the NDP’s candidate. Diane Twietmeyer will represent the party in Cannington. (Information on the two candidates was not immediately released by the party).

Lendrum is the fourth candidate for the election in the Estevan constituency, joining incumbent MLA Lori Carr of the Saskatchewan Party, Linda Sopp of the Progressive Conservative Party of Saskatchewan and Phil Zajac of the Buffalo Party of Saskatchewan.

Twietmeyer is the second candidate for Cannington, joining Daryl Harrison of the Saskatchewan Party. Incumbent MLA Dan D’Autremont of the Sask. Party is not seeking another term.

The provincial election will happen Oct. 26. The election writ has yet to drop, but it will have to happen next week to allow for the necessary campaign length.
