For the third consecutive day, there are no new cases of COVID-19 in South East Zone 4, which includes Estevan, according to the daily report.
It’s the first time that Zone 4 has gone three straight days without a new case since the first half of March.
There weren’t any new recoveries in Zone 4, either, leaving the total number of active cases at seven.
There is one new case to report in the South East region. That case is in Zone 1, to the northwest of Zone 4.
There are 47 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on June 15, bringing the provincial total to 48,043 cases.
The other new cases for Saskatchewan are located in the following zones: Far North West, 2; Far North East, 1; North West, 6; North Central, 3; North East, 1; Saskatoon, 12; Central West, 3; Central East, 2; Regina, 14; and South Central, 1. One case is pending residence information.
Four news deaths were reported today. One death was reported in the 80+ age group in the North Central Zone, one death was reported in the 70 to 79 age group in the North East zone, one death was reported in the 60 to 69 age group in Saskatoon, and one death was reported in the 50 to 59 age group in the South East zone.
Forty-eight people in the South East and 560 people in Saskatchewan with COVID-19 have died.
Another 95 people have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 46,761. Eight of the new recoveries are from the South East region.
A total of 722 cases are considered active, including 30 in the South East.
There are 97 people in hospital, including two receiving inpatient care in the South East. Eighty-two people in Saskatchewan are receiving inpatient care and 15 people are in intensive care.
The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 70 (5.7 per 100,000). This is the lowest seven-day average since November 1, 2020.
There were 1,478 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan on June 14, including 59 in the South East.
An additional 6,880 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, including 119 in the South East, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 910,322.
Seventy-nine per cent of those over the age of 40 have received their first dose. Seventy-four per cent of those 30+ have received their first dose. Sixty-nine per cent of those 18+ have received their first dose, while 67 per cent of those 12+ have also received their first dose.
