No new cases of COVID-19 in Estevan's South East Zone 4

The number of active cases of COVID-19 in South East Zone 4, which includes Estevan, remains at nine. There are no COVID-19 cases in Zone 4 to report on June 13, but there weren’t any recoveries for Zone 4, either.

The number of active cases of COVID-19 in South East Zone 4, which includes Estevan, remains at nine.

There are no COVID-19 cases in Zone 4 to report on June 13, but there weren’t any recoveries for Zone 4, either.

There were nine new COVID cases in the South East region. Eight of them are in Zone 2, which is north of Zone 4, and one is in Zone 1, to the northwest of Zone 4.

There are 65 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on June 13, bringing the provincial total to 47,941 cases.

The other new cases are located in the following zones: Far North West, 4; Far North East, 1; North West, 4; North Central, 4; Saskatoon, 14; Regina, 11; South West, 4; and South Central, 14.

No new deaths were reported.

Another 131 people have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 46,577. Eleven new recoveries are from the South East region.

There are 809 cases considered active, including 42 in the South East.

Ninety-five people are in hospital, including two in the South East receiving inpatient care, the same number as June 12. There are 75 people receiving inpatient care in Saskatchewan, and 20 in intensive care.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 78 (6.4 per 100,000). 

There were 1,553 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan on June 12, including 107 from the South East.

An additional 14,849 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 893,514.

The 14,849 doses of COVID-19 vaccine reported includes 1,065 in the South East.

Seventy-nine per cent of those over the age of 40 have received their first dose. Seventy-three per cent of those 30+ have received their first dose. Sixty-nine per cent of those 18+ have received their first dose, while sixty-seven per cent of those 12+ have also received their first dose.

Just one per cent more of Saskatchewan adults need to get their first COVID-19 vaccine shot in the coming week in order for the province to begin Step Three – the final phase of its Reopening Roadmap – on July 11.
