No new cases of COVID-19 in Estevan’s zone, no recoveries

For the fifth consecutive day, there are no new cases of COVID-19 in South East Zone 4, which includes Estevan, according to the daily report. There also was no recoveries in Zone 4, leaving the total number of active cases at six.

For the fifth consecutive day, there are no new cases of COVID-19 in South East Zone 4, which includes Estevan, according to the daily report.

There also was no recoveries in Zone 4, leaving the total number of active cases at six.

There are four new cases to report in the South East region, one in South East Zone 1, and three are in the South East Zone 2.

There are 94 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on June 17, bringing the provincial total to 48,220 cases.

The other new cases for Saskatchewan are located in the following zones: Far North West, 4; Far North East, 1; North West, 9; North Central, 7; North East, 5; Saskatoon, 25; Central West, 11; Central East, 2; Regina, 9; South West, 3; and South Central, 7.

No news deaths were reported today. 

Forty-eight people in the South East and 562 people in Saskatchewan with COVID-19 have died.

Another 70 people have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 46,907.

A total of 752 cases are considered active, including 36 in the South East.

There are 87 people in hospital, including two receiving inpatient care in the South East. Seventy-eight people in Saskatchewan are receiving inpatient care and nine people are in intensive care.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 75 (6.1 per 100,000).

There were 2,301 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan on June 16, including 43 in the South East. 

An additional 15,402 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, including 875 in the South East, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 937,737. There are 18,730 people in the South East region that are fully vaccinated.

Seventy-nine per cent of those over the age of 40+ have received their first dose.  Seventy-four per cent of those 30+ have received their first dose.  Sixty-nine per cent of those 18+ have received their first dose, while sixty-eight per cent of those 12+ have also received their first dose.
