No new COVID-19 cases in the southeast; two more people in the region have recovered

There are 81 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on Nov. 3, bringing the provincial total to date to 3,373 cases. There are no new cases in the southeast. Fifty-nine cases have been diagnosed in the region since early March.

There are 81 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on Nov. 3, bringing the provincial total to date to 3,373 cases. 

There are no new cases in the southeast. Fifty-nine cases have been diagnosed in the region since early March.

Thirty-one of the cases in the region are considered active; 23 of the active cases are in Southeast Zone 4, which includes Estevan.

Also, two more people from the southeast region have recovered; one of the recoveries is from Zone 4.

Twenty-nine of the new cases are in the Saskatoon region, 16 are in the north central, 14 are in the northwest and 10 are in the Regina region. There are also six from the central east, three from the northeast, and one each from the far northwest and the far northeast.

One case reported Tuesday has pending residence location. 

As for the cases with a pending residence location from Monday, four are from the north central, three are from the northwest, one is from the northeast and one is from Regina.

Of the 3,373 reported cases, 842, or approximately 25 per cent, are considered active. 

Ninety-seven people have recovered, a new single-day record for Saskatchewan. A total of 2,506 people are considered recovered, or about 74.3 per cent of those diagnosed.

Twenty-eight people are in hospital. Twenty-one are receiving inpatient care – eight in the Saskatoon region, six in the Regina region, five in the north central and two in the northwest. Seven people are in intensive care: four in Saskatoon, two in the north central and one in Regina.

Twenty-five people have died from COVID-19 in Saskatchewan since mid-March.

There have been 504 cases from the south area (230 southwest, 215 south central, 59 southeast).

As for the rest of the province, 874 cases from the Saskatoon area, 712 cases are from the north area (221 northwest, 348 north central, 143 northeast), 448 cases are from the far north area (393 far northwest, zero far north central, 55 far northeast), 439 cases are from the Regina area and 391 cases are from the central area (197 central west, 194 central east).

Five cases currently have pending residence location

A total of 1,931 COVID-19 tests were performed in Saskatchewan on Tuesday.
