There has been one new recovery from COVID-19 in South East Zone 4, which includes Estevan, according to the dashboard supplied by the provincial government.
That leaves three active cases of the virus in Zone 4.
There was one new COVID case in the South East region. That came in Zone 1, which is northwest of Zone 4.
There are 16 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on July 19, bringing the provincial total to 49,450 cases.
The other new cases are located in the following zones: Far North West, 4; Far North East, 1; North West, 2; North East, 1; Saskatoon, 5; and Regina, 2.
No new deaths were reported today.
Another 37 people have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 48,613. Five of those recoveries are in the South East.
A total of 262 cases are considered active, including 18 in the South East.
There are 55 people in hospital. Forty-six are receiving inpatient care, including one in the South East. Nine are in intensive care.
The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 26 (2.1 new cases per 100,000). This marks the lowest seven-day average since Oct. 13, 2020.
There were 902 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan on July 18, including 21 in the South East.
An additional 2,704 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,350,671. Included in the total were 103 new doses in the South East region.
Seventy-four per cent of those 12 and up have received their first dose and 59 per cent of those 12+ are fully vaccinated.
According to the Saskatchewan Health Authority, of the 2,000 new COVID-19 cases reported in June, more than 80 per cent of those cases were in people who are unvaccinated. There were zero ICU admissions and zero deaths in fully vaccinated residents.
