Pangman School holds bazaar, sale

Our Grade 12 Christmas Bazaar and Craft Sale on Dec. 7 was a great success. Many vendors and families donated baking for the Grade 12's to sell along with our hot lunch.

Our Grade 12 Christmas Bazaar and Craft Sale on Dec. 7 was a great success. Many vendors and families donated baking for the Grade 12's to sell along with our hot lunch. I am always amazed at all the variety of things to buy and did some of my Christmas shopping.

Our school takes part in a nationwide anti-bullying initiative called RespectED. I am part of our RespectED team and will be helping spread the anti-bullying message during the month of December to each of our classrooms. In April we are planning to give a presentation at our School Community Council meeting.

Pangman School's Students of the Month for November are Jonathon Davidson, Skylar White, Johny Friesen, Elizabeth Colbow and Gina Hettinga.

Basketball is off and running at our school and there is lots of interest. We have both boys and girls junior teams as well as a co-op senior team with Ogema School.

Pangman School students will be playing in brand new jerseys at their next basketball tournament. Devon and Chelsey Hoff of Hoff Insurance donated the entire purchase price of $1,154 for the uniforms, and the students modelled the uniforms for the Hoffs when they visited the school on Dec. 5.

Students and teachers are busy preparing for our annual Christmas Concert on Thursday, Dec. 19. Our academic awards will be presented that evening too.

The next day will be our last before holidays and we are looking forward to the Community Christmas celebration with sleigh rides, holiday treats and special activities. Mom and I are going grad dress shopping too during the holidays! Have a great Christmas everyone.
