City police responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision at Highway 39 and Third Street at about 12:25 p.m. on Thursday. The investigation revealed that an eastbound vehicle failed to stop for a red traffic light and collided with a southbound vehicle. The driver of the southbound vehicle was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the eastbound vehicle was issued a traffic ticket for disobeying a red light.
Weyburn police received a report of the theft of a vehicle related to a domestic incident on Sunday. The vehicle and accused were later located in Regina. The accused was held in custody and will be making a court appearance on the matter.
City police were called to deal with a group of unruly teens who were bothering patrons at a business on March 19. The group had left the area prior to police arrival. The investigation is ongoing to attempt to identify the involved people.
Police were called to a business regarding a report of a severely intoxicated male driver on Wednesday. Upon attending it was found that the driver was in fact in medical distress and was turned over to EMS.
Weyburn police were contacted by a business on Thursday regarding the strange behavior of a person frequenting the business. Upon identification of the person, it was realized that the person was suffering from a mental health issue and was transported to a medical facility for assistance.
Weyburn police were called to a report of domestic disturbance at about 5 p.m. on March 20. The matter was able to be mediated without the need for further police involvement.
A traffic stop was conducted by a member of the Weyburn police at about 4 p.m. on Wednesday. As a result, the driver was processed on a minor warrant from the Saskatoon Police Service and released.
City police received a report of a missing adult male on Wednesday. The male returned to his family before the police could locate him.
As the result of a traffic stop on Saturday, a member of the Weyburn police identified a vehicle passenger as being wanted for numerous breach of court condition charges. The male was arrested without incident and was later released by a Justice of the Peace.
