Weyburn police received a call regarding a single vehicle traffic collision in the downtown core at about 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, and that the female driver was in medical distress.
Police, EMS and Fire attended the scene and located a semi-conscious 23-year-old female driver and lone occupant. The woman was transported to the Weyburn General Hospital and then to Regina. The matter is still under investigation and the possibility of charges are being pursued.
• City police received two calls regarding unlocked vehicles having been rummaged through on Saturday. This occurred in the 300 block of Third Street and the 100 block of Eighth Street.
• Weyburn police members responded to a call in the downtown core of a person apparently in distress on Feb. 26. A male was located and found to be highly intoxicated. He was taken home to the care of family members.
• A Weyburn police member conducted a traffic stop of a driver believed to be suspended for medical reasons on Feb. 27. The suspension was confirmed and the driver charged accordingly.
• City police received a call of a domestic disturbance issue on Wednesday. The police attended and assisted one of the spouses to leave the residence.
• Weyburn police conducted a curfew compliance check on an adult female who is on curfew conditions on Thursday. The person was not home and charges have been laid for breach of release conditions.
• Weyburn police received a call regarding a female who was threatening self-harm on Saturday. The female had left the residence prior to police arrival but was located and found to be suffering from self-inflicted non-life threatening injuries, and was transported to the Weyburn General Hospital.
