Police received a complaint of a stolen lap top computer from a residence on Jan. 22. The person responsible was located and the lap top was recovered and returned to the owner. Due to circumstances involved no charges were laid.
Police investigated a fraudulent e-mail that requested personal credit card information on Jan. 24. The complainant became suspicious and avoided personal loss.
Police are investigating the misuse of a personal credit card on Saturday. The card may have been skimmed earlier this fall. Investigation will continue.
Police investigated a complaint of someone trafficking drugs in the community on Jan. 25. A search of a residence revealed a sufficient quantity of marijuana to lay a charge of possession for the purpose of trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
The Circle 6 motel complained about a patron leaving without paying for his stay on Jan. 25. A warrant to locate this individual will be requested. He has several other similar charges awaiting disposition in Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta.
Officers attended a three-car collision at the intersection of First Avenue and Government Road on Jan. 26.
Police attended a residence to assist EMS deal with an emotionally distressed man Jan. 26. Alcohol was involved. The man was taken to hospital.
Police assisted the Fire department and Sask Energy in dealing with a gas leak in the 16th St. area on Friday.
Officers attended the King George on Jan. 23 when a patron refused to pay his tab and then left the bar. The matter was mediated without having to lay charges.
Police along with Social Services investigated a case of reported child abuse on Jan. 23. The matter will be under investigation.
Police investigated a stolen iPod from a residence in the Weyburn Trailer Court on Jan. 23. The iPod was located and returned to the owner.
Officers located a male person outside the King George in a very intoxicated condition on Jan. 24. He was arrested and placed in cells.
Police attended the Royal Hotel to deal with a fight in progress on Jan. 25. The matter is still under investigation and charges may result.
Police attended a bar fight at the King George Hotel on Jan. 26. The person responsible fled before police arrival. Charges are pending.
Officers attended a noisy party complaint in the Tom Hart area on Saturday. The resident was quick to comply with officers requests to terminate the party. He was warned and the incident was handled without charges.
Shortly after this incident another party was reported in progress on Laing Crescent.
Police attended a noisy party on 11th St. on Saturday. The matter was resolved without charges. Once a warning is given, if another complaint is received in six months, charges are laid.
Police are investigating harassing texts being sent from one man to another on Sunday.
