On October 26, The Weyburn Police Service received a complaint from a 29 year-old female reporting there was a male passed out in her residence. Police attended and arrested a 21 year-old male. He was lodged in police cells until sober.
On October 25, a male suspect was observed spray painting a patrol car and had also spray painted the Weyburn Police Service building. The male fled on foot and attempts to locate him were unsuccessful. This incident appears to be related to at least two other incidents of graffiti which occurred on this date. The mischief is under investigation.
Also on October 25, members of the Weyburn Police Service stopped a vehicle that had been driving erratically in the NE area of Weyburn. A 25 year-old male was arrested for impaired driving. He was subsequently charged with Impaired Driving and Driving While Over .08. He was later released from custody and will appear in court at a later date.
Further on October 25, The Weyburn Police Service received a call about intoxicated males throwing windshield washer fluid around at a local gas station. Officers attended and spoke to witnesses. A suspect has been identified, and the incident remains under investigation.
Also on October 25, a 21 year-old male attended Weyburn Police Service and reported that his vehicle had been spray painted. An investigation was initiated, and it is believed that this incident is related to other recent graffiti occurrences.
On October 25, the Weyburn Police Service responded to a break and enter at a North area Weyburn residence. A safe containing cash and documents were stolen as well as some electronics. The break-enter and theft is under investigation.
On October 23, The Weyburn Police Service responded to a complaint of a domestic dispute at an apartment building. Attending Officers found that a 24 year-old male and a 27 year-old female were having an argument. The situation was mediated with no charges being laid.
Also on October 23, Weyburn Police received a report that a GPS Unit had been stolen from a parked truck. Police are investigating the theft.
On October 21, The Weyburn Police Service received a complaint from a 51 year-old male stating that diesel fuel had been stolen from his semi tractor unit on a number of occasions. An investigation into this matter is ongoing.
On October 20, a male and a female attended a local business and purchased approximately $1800 in clothing using a credit card. Staff determined that the purchases were fraudulent and contacted the Weyburn Police Service. The incident is under investigation.
Also on October 20, several purchases were made at a local off-sale Liquor Store using a credit card, the amount approximately $1500. The transactions were found to be fraudulent and the Weyburn Police Service was contacted. The incident is under investigation.
Further on October 20, a female was walking her dog down the street in the North area of the city to pick up her mail. An unleashed dog ran at the victim and as she picked up her own dog, she was bit in the arm and on the back. The wounds of the victim required medical treatment at the hospital. A 38 year-old female was charged with having a dangerous dog under the Municipal Bylaw and is scheduled to appear in court later this month.
