Members of the Estevan Police Service made a couple of arrests on Sunday.
A traffic stop was made in east-central Estevan that resulted in a 28-year-old Estevan man being arrested with impaired driving. His vehicle was impounded for 60 days due it being his third impaired driving offence. He is scheduled to make his first court appearance in Estevan Provincial Court on May 10 at 9:30 a.m.
EPS received a report of a suspicious vehicle driving erratically in southwest Estevan. The driver abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot, but was soon found by members and arrested for theft of a motor vehicle.
He was also charged under the Traffic Safety Act for driving with only a Class 7 learner’s licence, driving an unregistered vehicle and for being an unauthorized driver. He was released in front of a justice of the peace with conditions, and is scheduled to make his first court appearance on May 10 at 9:30 a.m.
