Police to close several streets for Moose Jawg Charity Race on June 15

Due to the Moose Jawg Charity Road Race on June 15, certain roads will be closed to vehicular traffic between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

The Moose Jaw Police Service is advising residents of a traffic advisory for Saturday, June 15.

Due to the Moose Jawg Charity Road Race, certain roads will be closed to vehicular traffic between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.:

  • Fairford Street East, from Main Street North to 1st Avenue Northeast
  • Fairford Street East at 1st Avenue Northeast to High Street East
  • High Street East from 1st Avenue Northeast to 2nd Avenue Northeast

Additionally, traffic could be delayed on First Avenue Southeast (Highway 2 South) from Lillooet Street East to Manitoba Street East for a short period to allow runners to safely enter River Park Drive (Wakamow Valley main entrance).

There will be no vehicle access to Fairford Street East from Main Street North, First Avenue Northeast, High Street East, Second Avenue Northeast, and Manitoba Street East between 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

MJPS members will be in attendance providing traffic control to the event. Motorists are asked to obey traffic control enforcement, use caution, and be aware of runners if in the event area.

Also, to access the Phyllis Dewar Outdoor Pool, residents should use Third Avenue Northeast to Fairford Street East and access the outdoor pool from the east.
