The Souris Valley Industries team stands with Jim Hopson, the former president and CEO of the Saskatchewan Roughriders football club, on the tee of the 18th hole, during the Weyburn Hospital Foundation’s charity golf tournament on July 12. There were 93 golfers who took part in the golf tournament, each of whom received an autographed copy of Hopson’s book, “Running the Riders”, and Hopson later spoke at the prime rib supper. There were 220 in attendance for the supper, where the live auction raised $28,100, and 30 silent auction items raised $3,825, with the event overall raising close to $100,000.
