Public asked to look for counterfeit money

Weyburn area residents and businesses are being warned to be on the lookout for counterfeit bills, after an Ontario girl was recently arrested for passing counterfeit $20 bills at a local restaurant.



Weyburn area residents and businesses are being warned to be on the lookout for counterfeit bills, after an Ontario girl was recently arrested for passing counterfeit $20 bills at a local restaurant.

Police arrested a 17-year-old girl from Ontario after she tried using two counterfeit $20 bill to pay for food.

Bail in the amount of $500 was collected and held to ensure that she will appear in court. She was charged with possession of and using counterfeit $20 bill, and was released.

Weyburn Police Service encourages the public to report to them if they suspect they have one of these counterfeit bills.
