From the pancake breakfast to the parade to the antique harvesting demonstration, it was obvious that the committee was dedicated to making sure everyone enjoyed the day.

Highlights from the day included a trade show, kids’ zone, petting zoo, children’s tractor pull, climbing wall, stick horse rodeo complete with bucking broncs, bouncers, blacksmith demonstration, pottery demonstration that allowed people to work with the clay on the potter’s wheel, show and shine, fair exhibits, tractor pull, piñata demonstration, Kenosee Lake Kitchen Party concert, a catered meal by Weirs and the music by the Caragana Ramblers and Chris Byrne, were all designed to keep people entertained.

While the weather didn’t co-operate as much as one would hope, there was no doubt that folks were having a great time.

The Dash for Cash grand prize winners may live in Archerwill but they have roots in Arcola. Sandra and Todd Hagenes took home $3,000 when their winning ticket was pulled. Sandra Hagenes is the daughter of Martha Carr.
