RCMP Report

The RCMP were involved with 52 files between March 15 and March 21. On March 15 a 21-year-old female was arrested for being drunk in public. She was held in cells until sober and released with a fine of $200 being given to her.

A vehicle was stopped with front side window tint. The driver was issued an inspection ticket to have the tint removed.

A call of an erratic driver was received on Highway 13 heading towards Redvers. Patrols were dispatched, but called off to report to a priority matter.

The priority matter was an assault with a weapon happening in the town of Manor. A 25-year-old male remains in custody and is facing charges before the provincial court.

A call to a business in the Carlyle area was received. There were reports of individuals fighting. The fight finished and there were no injuries. The RCMP did speak with all parties and at this time there are no charges to be laid.

An 18-year-old male was fined $130 for speeding.

A 22-year-old was fined $360 for having liquor in a vehicle.

Another liquor ticket was given out on this day for $360 to a 31-year-old male.

RCMP responded to a business in Carlyle where a fight was taking place. On male suffered minor injuries and an investigation is ongoing.

On March 16 RCMP responded to a fight in progress in Manor. Upon arrival it was discovered the fight was a verbal argument and no assault had taken place. There were no charges laid.

RCMP received a call regarding someone taking a vehicle without consent. The vehicle was later located and the victim didn't want to press charges.

Members were to attend an alarm at a business in Carlyle, but were called off by a key holder as the alarm was false.

A 911 call to a residence in the Carlyle area was determined to be the result of children playing with the phone. There was no emergency.

A hit and run was called in. A vehicle was parked at a business in Carlyle and had suffered damage. There are no leads at this time, but the matter is under investigation.

A 911 dispatch call sent RCMP to assist ambulance staff in Wawota.

A 911 call to a residence in Redvers was received, but it was a young person using the phone and members determined it to be a misdial.

A 911 dispatch to the Carlyle area was received by RCMP; but, it was found to be children playing with the phone. There was no emergency.

A two vehicle collision on Highway 13 near Kisbey occurred. Someone ran into the back of a semi-trailer. Weather was determined to be a factor and no charges were laid.

On March 17 there was an alarm call from a business in Carlyle which was determined to be false.

A call of an assault at a residence in the Carlyle area was reported. RCMP attended where intoxicated subjects were present. No one was injured and the investigation is complete resulting in no charges being laid.

A 911 call to a residence in Redvers was received. There was no emergency and the call was determined to be a misdial.

A call from Highway 9 was received where south of Carlyle there were reports of someone blowing snow onto the highway creating a hazard for drivers. RCMP attended and had the plow operator stop. No charges were laid.

On March 18 a false alarm at a business in Redvers was received. Members attended to determine this.

RCMP stopped a vehicle and located drugs, a small amount of Cannabis. There were four occupants in the vehicle. At this time no charges have been laid, but the matter is still under investigation.

On March 19 a semi rolled in the Antler area. Blowing snow is considered to be a contributing factor to the collision. There were no injuries and no charges were laid.

A 28-year-old female was charged with driving while suspended as well as fined for operating an unregistered vehicle at $580.

Carlyle RCMP, the Fire Department, and EMS were dispatched to the Arcola area for a Carbon Monoxide alarm. It was determined to be a false alarm and no one was injured.

An assault at a residence in the Carlyle area was reported. No one was injured and it was determined to be a family matter. No charges were laid.

A 911 call concerning a person who was heavily intoxicated and in need of assistance was received by RCMP. Members attended, but the subject had been taken care of by family. There was nothing further required by the RCMP.

On March 20 a 21-year-old male was charged with failing to attend court and a warrant for his arrest was issued.

A single vehicle left Highway 13 near Manor and became stuck in the snow. RCMP attended and found the driver was safe. There were no charges laid.

A 49-year-old male was fined $192 for speeding.

A residence in the Carlyle area required RCMP to assist EMS with a call. A subject was being aggressive due to a medical condition, but EMS was able to transport the subject to receive help.

Members received a dispatch to an alarm at a residence in Carlyle, but were called off by the owner who advised RCMP that it was a false alarm.

A traffic hazard was reported on Highway 9 where a large tractor with a blade was on the highway and difficult to see. RCMP attended and the tractor left the roadway.

On March 21 a collision on Highway 9 south of Carlyle was reported. A single vehicle left the roadway and hit the ditch. There were no injuries and no charges laid.

There was a call regarding a shoplifting at a business in Carlyle. A second call was received from another business on a related call. Information was gathered and RCMP were able to identify a suspect. A 29-year-old female from Moosomin will be facing charges in court.

A 32-year-old male was fined $175 for not wearing a seatbelt.

A 28-year-old male was also fined $175 for this same offence.

A collision took place west of Kisbey. A semi had lost control and crossed into the oncoming lane where it became stuck. The trailer was blocking over half of the highway and members responded where they stayed on scene until the truck was pulled out and taken off the roadway. No one was injured. Weather and icy road conditions are considered to be factors.

A 52-year-old male was fined $232 for failing to slow to 60 kilometres per hour while passing emergency vehicles.
