RCMP Report: Aug. 15-21

The Carlyle detachment of the RCMP received 74 calls to service between Friday, Aug. 15, and Thursday, Aug. 21.

911 calls

Multiple 911 calls originated in the Carlyle area. No one answered when called back so members attended, however they didn't find anything concerning.

Kids were playing with the phone and dialled 911 in the Carlyle area.

A static line from Wawota came through.

An accidental 911 call came through from Wawota; the individual was confused and had thought they dialed 411.

There was a 911 call to the Carlyle area that is still under investigation.

A woman was reported in a 911 call as causing a disturbance in the bar in Arcola.

Animal call

There was a bull out near Carlyle along Hwy 9. The owner was contacted to return the animal to pasture, but the bull wandered back on his own.

Assault

An assault in the Kisbey area is being investigated.

There is an assault involving a weapon or causing bodily harm being looked into in Carlyle.

Disturbing the peace was reported in Arcola, but it involved a possible assault and is under investigation to determine what took place.

A complaint of an assault in Carlyle was reported.

There was a 34-year-old female charged for being intoxicated in a public place after RCMP found her. She had been reported as assaulting people in the bar in Arcola. RCMP responded, located the woman, arrested her, and lodged her in cells for the night.

A possible fight was reported in the Carlyle area. Members attended, but did not locate anyone at the location.

Assistance

Carlyle RCMP assisted Regina Police Services in executing a warrant.

Assistance was given to a probation officer to help conduct home visits in the area.

Members provided assistance to Carnduff RCMP at Alameda Dam in searching for an individual.

Assistance was given to Estevan Police Services with a hit and run which had occurred there, while they also assisted Fillmore detachment with a hit and run in Stoughton.

A member of the Carlyle RCMP assisted Estevan RCMP with the Beach Bash there.

A request to check on an individual in the Carlyle area was made. The individual who had made the request checked without RCMP and no issues were found.

Members were asked to assist in the Kisbey area with an unruly female.

A welfare check was requested on someone in Alida.

There was a request from someone in Wawota for RCMP to make more patrols in their area.

Two individuals requested criminal record checks and had fingerprints taken.

Break and enter/thefts

A break and enter to a business in Arcola was reported. It is unknown if anything was taken and the matter is currently under investigation.

In Redvers a business also reported a break and enter, which is now under investigation by RCMP.

There was a report of theft of a cement buffalo ornament near Wawota. This matter is under investigation.

Theft of diesel fuel was reported in Carlyle though it occurred in Corning. It is under Fillmore's jurisdiction and is currently under investigation.

The theft of a puppy was reported, but the complainant knew who took it and declined to lay charges. The puppy was returned to its owner.

A truck was stolen in the Carlyle area, it was later located in town. There were no damages that could be seen and nothing further was asked of RCMP in the matter.

There was a red 2009 Ford Supercrew truck was taken from Carlyle and is under investigation

Fraud

A business in Redvers reported received counterfeit $10 bills and members are investigating.

Possible fraud involving credit cards in Carlyle is being investigated by members.

Impaired driving complaints

A possible impaired driver was reported on Hwy 13 near Wauchope. RCMP notified Manitoba members that a vehicle was coming their way.

On Hwy 9 a random stop had an impaired driver, a 35-year-old female, charged with driving over 0.08 and for impaired operation of a motor-vehicle.

A report of a possible impaired driver in Carlyle was reported. It was actually an individual riding a bike that was not theirs. The bike was returned and the individual was given a ride to Arcola.

There was a possible impaired driver near Arcola said to be swerving all over the road. RCMP did not locate the vehicle.

Mischief

Mischief was reported in Redvers and is under investigation.

In the Carlyle area a complaint was received regarding a vehicle having been egged. This is currently being investigated by members.

Traffic infractions

A caller reported a dangerous driver near Wawota and the matter is being investigated.

There was a report of a dangerous driver in the area but members attended and did not locate the vehicle.

In Arcola a hit and run left a blue 2006 Honda Odyssey damaged.

Near Antler a hit and run was reported which had left a black 2012 Honda Civic damaged.

A single vehicle rollover was attended by RCMP near Bellegarde, the occurrence actually falls under Carnduff jurisdiction and is under investigation.

A motor-vehicle collision took place when a vehicle hit the ditch near Antler. This matter is under investigation.

There was a near-collision near Redvers. The vehicle left town quickly and the caller had no further information on them.

An erratic driver was reported near Redvers, but the complainant didn't want to lay charges.

A warning was issued to an 18-year-old male near Arcola for speed.

Ten speeding tickets were issued. Tickets went to a 50-year-old male for $139, a 41-year-old male for $130, a 57-year-old male for $130, a 60-year-old female for $133, a 25-year-old female for $135, a 30-year-old male for $188, a 20-year-old male for $175, a 40-year-old male for $200, a 59-year-old female for $192, and a 49-year-old female for $188.

A vehicle near Redvers was reported as not having children properly secured and seated. RCMP contacted the driver and the children were in their seatbelts.

On Hwy 13 near Carlyle a 48-year-old female was charged for failing to keep to the right of the centre line. This is a fine of $150.

RCMP stopped a vehicle on Hwy 9 and has requested them to remove the tint on the windows of their vehicle. They must report to the detachment that it has been removed.

Suspicious persons

Complainants reported a suspicious person in a farmyard near Forget. The individual was located and all was well.

There was a suspicious person reported in Arcola and the complainant was unsure why the subject of the complaint was on their property.

A suspicious person in the Carlyle area was outside a residence. The complainant knew who it was and the subject was not wanted there. This is currently under investigation.

Other calls to service

In Moose Mountain Provincial Park a complainant reported a disturbance of the peace. Members are currently looking into what transpired.

There was a breach of the peace in the Carlyle area. An individual was found to be intoxicated and no one would take care of them, so the person was lodged in cells for the night.

There was a sudden death in the Kisbey area.

There was a 26-year-old male arrested for breach of probation as he was found in the bar.

A false alarm to a business in Carlyle sounded due to individuals being on the roof.

In Arcola there was a structure fire to a residential building. No one was injured and the fire was contained inside of a gas line.

A report of harassment involving disturbing text messages is being investigated. The complaint originated from an individual at Kenosee Lake.

There was a warrant issued for a 26-year-old male for failing to appear and has also been charged with this offence.
