Brayden King, centre, leads his band through some current and classic rock songs as a large group of Weyburn Junior High students dance in front of the stage, during the afternoon entertainment held as part of the closing ceremonies for the school on Friday. There was also an art fair and a tea reception in the afternoon, with a program in the morning including remarks from dignitaries and current and past staff members and students, and performances from the junior high’s band and choir. The school opened in 1966, and will close in one month’s time with Grades 7 to 9 students moving over to the Comp in September.
