The Weyburn and Estevan Rotary Clubs are once again teaming up to put on the Golf Ball Drop fundraiser, with the chance for ticket buyers to win one of three cash prizes.
Tickets are now available from any Rotary Club member in Weyburn or Estevan at $5 each, with the drop of golf balls to take place on Saturday, Sept. 23 at the Weyburn Golf Course.
Each ticket is numbered, and is matched up with a golf ball bearing the same number.
On the draw date, all of the golf balls with tickets sold will be loaded into a giant bucket and lifted high by a crane over an area with a golf hole, and the balls are dropped. The first three balls that get in or near the hole will win the top three cash prizes.
First place will get $5,000, second place $3,000 and third will get $1,000.
The proceeds of the fundraiser will be split between the Weyburn and Estevan Rotary Clubs, and a portion will be donated to the STARS Air Ambulance.
