Tickets are now available for the Rotary Club’s Golf Ball Drop, set for Saturday, Sept. 17.
This year, the Weyburn Rotary Club will be combining forces with their sister club in Estevan, and the two clubs will split the proceeds of this annual fundraising event.
As Estevan is a part of the fundraiser, the golf ball drop will be held at the Woodlawn Golf Club in Estevan, with the drop to occur at 6 p.m.
With the combined clubs covering a much larger area, the maximum number of tickets has been increased to 10,000, and will be sold at $5 each.
The prize pot will be kept the same, with $5,000 for first place, $3,000 for second and $1,000 for third place, a total of $9,000.
The funds will go to support the STARS air ambulance service, hospital foundations and the various Rotary community projects that both clubs support.
Tickets can be bought from any Rotary member, (including at the Weyburn Review office) or at various booth locations that will be set up in the coming weeks in the area.
Tickets can also be obtained by calling Denis Tremblay at 306-861-1142.
