There are 202 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on Saturday, bringing the provincial total to date to 9,730 cases.
Thirteen more cases are in the southeast region. None are in Southeast Zone 4, which includes Estevan.
Ten of the new cases are in Zone 1, which is to the northwest of Zone 4, and three new cases are in Zone 3, which includes Weyburn.
The number of active cases in the southeast is 161. Sixteen of those active cases are in Zone 4.
The new cases for the rest of the province are located in the far north west (8), far north east (17), northwest (18), north central (33), northeast (10), Saskatoon region (4), central west (8), central east (8), Regina (51), southwest (21), south central (6) and southeast (13) zones, and five new cases have pending residence information.
Case numbers reported from Saskatoon are much lower than anticipated due to a data-related issue that is in the process of correction and is expected to be updated tomorrow.
The seven-day average of daily new cases is 263 (21.7 new cases per 100,000 population).
Of the 9,730 reported cases, 4,191, or 43 per cent, are considered active.
Another 128 people have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 5,484, or 56.3 per cent. Two of the recoveries were in the southeast region.
One-hundred and sixteen people are in hospital. Ninety-one people are receiving inpatient care: nine in the northwest, 10 in the north central, one in the northeast, 34 in Saskatoon, one in the central east, 15 in Regina, three in the southwest, and 18 in the southeast zones. The number of people in hospital in the southeast is down three from Friday.
Twenty-five people are in intensive care: five in the north central, 11 in Saskatoon and nine in the Regina zones.
Fifty-five deaths related to COVID-19 have been reported to date.
There were 3,404 COVID-19 processed in Saskatchewan on Friday.
