The second annual Gun Show at the Wylie-Mitchell Hall featured new vendors for the many hunting and gun enthusiasts attending the event that ran on March 28 and 29.

The gun show gave an opportunity for people to buy some firearms as there is no firearm store in town or anywhere in southeastern Saskatchewan.

Organizer Kevin Thompson said that there were over 1,000 fire arms at the event that ranged for 17 calibre all the way to 50 and 90 sharps.

There were both used and new firearms at the event. Along with firearms, there were also compound bows as well.

Thompson also mentioned that there were different vendors from the previous year. There was a vendor that sold boot’s and others that sold both men’s and women’s apparel.

There was a slight drop in attendance compared to last year and most people this year showed up on the first day.

“It’s been a good turn out and with the economy (the way it is) it’s nice that people all over the c province came to support us … it’s very appreciated.

Also, at the gun show was a raffle draw with the proceeds and other funds rasied going to the MS and Diabetes organizations.
