Six people in southeast Saskatchewan have recovered from COVID-19; four recoveries in Estevan's zone

There are six more recoveries from COVID-19 in southeast Saskatchewan, according to the daily provincial update. There are now 25 active cases of the virus in the southeast, down from 31 on Tuesday.

There are six more recoveries from COVID-19 in southeast Saskatchewan, according to the daily provincial update.

There are now 25 active cases of the virus in the southeast, down from 31 on Tuesday. Four of the recoveries are from Southeast Zone 4, which includes Estevan. The number of active cases in Zone 4 dropped from 23 on Tuesday to 19 on Wednesday.

One recovery is from Southeast Zone 3, which includes Weyburn, and one recovery is from Zone 1, which is to the northwest of Zone 4. 

No new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the southeast region on Wednesday. Fifty-nine cases have been diagnosed in the region since mid-March.  

There are 37 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on Nov. 4, bringing the provincial total to date to 3,408 cases. Fourteen cases are in the Regina region, thirteen are in the Saskatoon region and six are from the central east. Single cases are from the far northwest, the northwest and the north central.

The Roy Romanow Provincial Laboratory experienced technical difficulties Tuesday with the validation of COVID-19 tests, resulting in lower than expected case numbers reported Wednesday.  It is anticipated that any delayed reporting will be reflected in tomorrow’s COVID-19 case update.

One case reported Wednesday has pending residence location. One case with pending residence location reported Nov. 2 has been assigned to the north central region. Two cases with pending residence locations reported Nov. 1 were determined to be out-of-province residents and removed from provincial counts.

Of the 3,408 reported cases, 799, or 23.4 per cent are considered active. 

Seventy-eight people have recovered, bringing the provincial total to 2,584 recoveries, or 75.8 per cent of those diagnosed.

Twenty-six people are in hospital. Twenty-two people are receiving inpatient care: 10 in Saskatoon, five each in the north central and Regina and two in the northwest.

Four people are in intensive care: two in the north central, one in Saskatoon and one in Regina.
