The Flying F Ranch held its seventh annual Southeast Calf Cruze Show on May 12 at the Weyburn Ag Society barn, with many prizes awarded.
Hosted by Mike and Carla Fellner, the judge for the day was Tyson Rasmusson of Midale; the ringperson was Camri Piwarski and the announcer was Jim Hallberg. There were 62 entries making it another successful year.
In the shorthorn heifer class, first place went to Zach Graham, second to Daniel Fellner, third to Jacey Fellner and fourth was Kylie Berner.
In the Angus heifer class, first place went to Chance Jackson, second to Brandy Fettes, third was Levi Best, fourth was Raina Syrnyk, fifth went to Matthew Ginter, sixth went to Naomi Best, seventh was Dallas Moore, eighth was Kegan Kmita, ninth was Kobe Kmita and tenth was Shayla Moore.
The Maine heifer class was won by Raina Syrnyk, second went to Daniel Fellner, third was Ryley Gutzke and fourth was Jackson Goudy.
In the All-Breeds heifer class, first place went to Kolin Piwarski, second was Kristina Ginter, third went to Christin Dixon, fourth was Raina Syrnyk, fifth was Baylee Moore, sixth was Shelby Scott adn seventh went to Luke Webb.
Each class winner received a vest for finishing in first.
The Grand Champion Heifer was won by Chance Jackson, he received a sullivan blower and jacket, and he also received a jacket for the Bred and Owned Heifer award.
The Reserve Champion Heifer was awarded to Kolin Piwarski, and he was given a sullivan fan and jacket; he also received a vest and a pair of clippers for the Heifers People's Choice award.
In the Lightweight steer class, first place went to Kolin Piwarski, second to Wacey McCaw, third was Jacey Fellner, fourth was Daniel Fellner, fifth went to Brandy Fettes, sixth was Billy Goudy, seventh was Carter Goudy, eighth was Jenelle Breault, ninth was Shayla Moore, 10th was Dallas Moore, 11th was Greggory Wiens, 12th was Emma Wiens and 13th was Kobe Kmita.
In the medium weight steer class, first was Riley LaFrentz, second was Robert Pineo, third was Chance Jackson, fourth was Raina Syrnyk, fifth was Dylan Breault, sixth was Brant Hockley, seventh was Mindy Hockley, eighth went to Jackson Goudy, ninth went to Laurel Oberkirsch, 10th was Kegan Kmita, 11th was Kylie Berner, 12th was Riley Ingram and 13th went to Baylee Moore.
The heavyweight steer class was won by Cody LaFrentz, second went to Nadya McKim, third was Dallas Moore, fourth was Raina Syrnyk, fifth was Nicole McKim, sixth went to Eric Fettes, seventh was Tyson Scott, eighth was Nevin Breault, ninth was Zach Graham, 10th was Kobe Kmita and 11th went to Luke Webb.
Cody LaFrentz took home the Grand Champion Steer award, receiving a sullivan blower and jacket, and his brother Riley LaFrentz was awarded Reserve Champion Steer, receiving a sullivan fan and jacket. Robert Pineo won the People's Choice award for the steers, taking home a vest and pair of clippers, and Kolin Piwarski received a jacket for the Bred and Owned Steer.
In the best pair of steer and heifer from one junior class, first went to Kolin Piwarski, second was Chance Jackson, and third was Raina Syrnyk. They received gift certificates for show supplies.
In the Junior Division of Showmanship, first place went to Brandy Fettes, second was Jacey Fellner, third was Kylie Dixon, fourth was Jackson Goudy and fifth went to Levi Best.
The Intermediate Division of Showmanship went to Daniel Fellner, with second won by Kolin Piwarski, third was Christin Dixon, fourth was Riley Ingram and fifth went to Mindy Hockley.
Senior Showmanship was won by Riley LaFrentz, second was Chance Jackson, third was Cody LaFrentz, fourth went to Kristina Ginter and fifth was Wacey McCaw.
In each division of Showmanship, first place received a jacket and show cane, second received a show halter, third received a scotch comb, fourth received a feed tub and fifth received a grooming brush. There were also several draws for many other prizes for the participants.
