Students from Grades 1 and 6 gathered with a poster showing the total amount raised by the students for the fundraising Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation walk, at a school assembly at St. Michael School on Thursday. The funds, totalling $1,344.75, were presented at the JDRF walk which was held on Sunday afternoon from the City Centre Mall. The annual walk raises funds for research into treating type 1 or juvenile diabetes. These two classes raised the most money of all the classes at St. Michael, and won a pizza party for each classroom which they will enjoy this week.
