City lawyer Mike Weger prepares to officially swear in Jake Sonnenberg as the new member of the Weyburn Police Service on Wednesday, as police chief Marlo Pritchard and Mayor Debra Button listen at right. Sonnenberg has wanted to be a police officer for much of his life, and spent time serving in the National Guard in the U.S., including a tour of duty in Iraq, before moving to Weyburn with wife Alisa, who is from Weyburn, to work and raise their family.
