Auctioneer Winston Bailey, front left, scans the crowd for bids as he sells Christmas trees at the annual Festival of Trees gala auction on Thursday evening. The Festival, which featured 23 trees and 101 silent auction items, raised a total of $66,629 for the Family Place, the second-higheste total ever, helping to keep the family resource centre operating with their programs and services to help families. The highest price for a tree was $4,400, paid by Barber Motors for the tree donated by Miller Well Servicing. A total of eight trees were bought and donated back to the Family Place to give to a family in need.
