The Estevan area was one of 22 in the province to set a new daytime record high for June 3.
The daytime high in the Energy City was 35.1 C, which broke the previous record for June 3 set in 2019, when the temperature was 34.7 C.
A heat warning remains in effect for the southeast region. Temperatures are supposed to hit 32 C on Friday, with a risk of showers and thundershowers in the afternoon and the evening.
The daytime high for Saturday is also expected to be 32 C.
Temperatures are supposed to cool off to 23 C on Sunday.
