Update: One dead after collision by Yellow Grass

On Nov 18 at 8:30 a.m. RCMP officers from the Milestone Detachment, Yellow Grass Fire Department, and Weyburn EMS attended to a collision on Highway 39, two kilometers northwest of the community of Yellow Grass.

A northwest bound pick up truck with a single male occupant collided head on with a southeast bound International refrigerated truck. The two adult men that were travelling in the refrigerated truck were not injured, but the 46-year-old man driver of the pickup truck, was transported to hospital in Regina by STARS air ambulance and succumb to injuries suffered during the collision a few hours later.

The highway was closed for several hours while an accident reconstructionist examined the scene.  

Alcohol is not being considered as a factor in the collision. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
