The Weyburn Relay For Life Committee is facing a shortage of volunteers to put on the 2012 Relay for Life. The event will once again be held at Crescent Point Place from 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 1 until 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 2.
"We are in desperate need of volunteers for all areas and times for the relay," said Volunteer Committee Chairperson, Kathy Woycik.
"We also need people to be willing to help on the Committee for Relay for Life for 2013."
If you can help out in any way, please call the Weyburn Canadian Cancer Society Office at 842-8080 or drop by the office at 114-3rd Street to sign up.
"Without our volunteers, this event to honor our family, friends and everyone who has been touched by this terrible disease, is very hard to put together. Relay for Life does not only honor lives but it becomes a learning experience to healthier living, how you and your family can help succeed in living your lives without cancer. We are seeing more and more people fighting cancer due to events like this and the valuable research happening from the donations and time given by people like yourselves."
"Please give a few hours out of your busy schedules to come to help, if even for a couple of hours. Who knows we might have encouraged you to come out next year with your very own team to experience the complete sensation," concludes Woycik.
The Weyburn Relay For Life Committee is facing a shortage of volunteers to put on the 2012 Relay for Life. I am sending an appeal out to the people of Weyburn and Area that we are desperately needing people. You will not be sorry in coming out, giving of yourself and experiencing the heart-moving event. Come and see, learn and experience!
