The Estevan detachment, along with Estevan Southeast Traffic Services, Regina RCMP police dog services and Estevan Police Service Intelligence Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence and garage on Aldridge Street in Bienfait on July 28. The team also searched a garage on Carbon Street in the town.
A significant amount of marijuana was seized as a result of the search along with a derivative known as “shatter”. Psilocybin, the active ingredient in magic mushrooms was also seized.
A 27-year-old woman and 25-year-old man were charged with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, production of cannabis resin and possession of the psilocybin.
