The senior boys' basketball team won both games at regionals and will advance to Hoopla this weekend in Regina. Their first game is Friday at 8 p.m. against Prince Albert St. Mary's at F.W. Johnson.

The other two teams in the category are Moose Jaw Central and Moose Jaw Peacock. The Saturday games are 3rd place at 1 p.m. at Winston Knoll or gold medal game at 5 p.m. at F.W. Johnson.

The senior girls was unable to advance beyond the regionals as they were 1 - 1 at the playoff.

In provincial wrestling Brittany Franklin placed 3rd in the 73kg category.

This weekend brings to an end the basketball season for WCS teams and the athletes now move on to badminton and track.

The gym is now turned over to a karate tournament this weekend and then some dance recitals as the new facility still is not available.

Ensembles and choirs continue to perform in the Weyburn Rotary Music Festival and the STARS choir and some ensembles are performing at the United Church on Sunday at 2 p.m. to help raise money for the mission trip taken by the Christian Ethics class at the school.

The Stars of the Festival will be held at Grace United Church on Thursday, March 20 starting at 7 p.m.

Arrangements are well underway for the spring music trip to Minneapolis in May.
