Weyburn police investigate missing person case, fraud

The Weyburn Police Service received a call from a person concerned about a missing person on Saturday. The person was eventually located and found to be suffering from a medical condition and was transported to hospital.

The city police received a report on Jan. 19 that some property listed on Kijiji was the subject of a potential fraud.
While at this point the owner did not appear to have suffered any loss, the police urges everyone to be diligent and cautious in their use of such commercial sites for the listing of real estate.
The Weyburn Police Service received a report involving a hit-and-run vehicle collision in the 100 block of Third Street NE on Jan. 18. Thanks to the efforts of a witness, the vehicle and driver were located and dealt with.
This is a reminder to everyone that U-turns are not permitted mid-block on any street and was a contributing cause to this incident.
Weyburn police responded to a report of a hit-and-run vehicle collision having happened in the 10 block of Fourth Street NE between 2-3 p.m. on Jan. 19. City police are conducting an ongoing investigation into harassing text messages, reported on Friday.
Meanwhile, the Coronach/Bengough RCMP are investigating a hit-and-run that occurred in the town of Ogema sometime between 2 and 5 p.m. on Jan. 20.
An SUV parked on Main Street outside the Drop-In Centre was damaged on the driver’s side.
