Weyburn -- The Wheatland Senior Centre will host their month end supper on Friday, August 27 at 5:30 p.m. Interested residents should contact the Wheatland Centre to add their name to the attendance list.
A number of card games were played at the Wheatland from July 26 to 30.
During bridge on Friday, Lucie Nickel was first, John Whitell was second and Mille Nimegeers was third. In trump whist, Marie Marcotte took first, Myrna Oxelgren second, and Emily Stadler and Audrey Wercholuk both placed third.
In spades, Basily Holyer took first, Theresa Istace took second, Chris Diemert placed third and Mildred Sandiford finished fourth.
Audrey Wercholuk and Bernice Jaster won hi-low whist. Marge Schultz and Myrna Oxelgren placed second, and Marie Marcotte and Dorothy Lindskog took third. In canasta, Eileen Yates took first, Evelyn Porte finished second, Margaret Warnke took third and Ione Schnell placed fourth.
During Kaiser, Alice Schneider and Lavine Stepp won first place, Anne Gutzke and Marlene Szczecinski finished second, Marg Schutz and Myrna Oxelgren placed third and Marg Leavens and Ray Boucher took fourth.
During crib on Thursday, Marie Marcotte and Ruth Boren finished first, Ray Boucher and Connie Boucher took second, and Joan Gregory and Coral Schindel took third. Margert Lukey and Joe Byer won shuffleboard. May Leavens and Ray Boucher took second, and Coral Schindel and Pearl Morey finished third.
During fun crib on Friday, Garth White took first, Marge Schutlz placed second, Cheryl Vogel finished third and Basil Holyer placed fourth.
There is Bingo held at the Wheatland every Thursday at 1 p.m.
