ESTEVAN - The Estevan Police Service arrested a woman Saturday for multiple thefts from the same business.
Police received a report of a theft from the business. As police were looking into the matter, the suspect returned to the store and committed a second theft. A 29-year-old woman was subsequently arrested.
She was held in custody for the weekend to appear in court on Nov. 6.
Also on Saturday, police attended to a noise complaint, resulting in an individual being charged under the noise bylaw. Police were called back a short time later and the individual was arrested and lodged in cells until sober. He will receive a second bylaw violation ticket. A total of $750 in fines resulted from his actions.
Police attended to another noise complaint in the Trojan subdivision. The homeowner was warned under the bylaw.
Members attended to a third noise complaint in the Hillside area. The homeowner was also warned under the bylaw.
Police located a 39-year-old man in the city core who was found to be on a conditional sentence order with a 24-hour curfew. He was arrested and will be held for court on Nov. 6.
Police received a report on Nov. 3 of an individual who was sitting on the train trestle over the highway on the west end of the city. The caller was concerned for the person's safety. Police attended and didn’t locate anyone in the area.
Police attended to two bylaw-related complaints in the Pleasantdale area. One was in relation to a barking dog, and the other was for a vehicle being left on jacks. Individuals were spoken to on the matters.
Police attended to a noise bylaw in the south end of the city. The homeowner was warned under the bylaw.
